Pepper and her chewie bone

PEPPER (Binewood's Prize Hot Pepper, CGC)
Pepper arrived on a plane from Texas in June 1998 just two hours before a huge tornado blew through our immediate area. We hunkered down in the basement with our new Border puppy, my 10 year old niece Brooke and several Australian Cattle Dogs. Talk about a bonding experience!
Peps is a great couch warmer but really hated showing. Now she is a super grandma...and the best puppy babysitter! She loves to play with the puppies and teach them how to be a Border.

Zuni wrassles with her puppies

ZUNI (Dalahast Desert Fetish, CGC)
Zuni was born in July 2003 in a litter of four puppies (Spike, Kyan and Havoc were her littermates). Since the beginning, she has been the most outgoing, obnoxious critter I have ever had the honor of hanging out with!
She was started training in agility and flyball and really prefered doing these fun, rowdy activities instead of showing! Even though she got very close to her Ch title, she had the rare opportunity to go to a fun beginning agility home with a loving, local family that owns another BT.
Her temperament and personality is the stamp of what is a DALAHAST BORDER TERRIER. Smart, silly, fun and loves to party.

Olive beats up Moqui

OLIVE (KETKA'S CHOCOTINI OF DALAHAST)
"Olive" was named for Kristen Chenoweth's character on 'Pushing Daisies' and she's just as colorful and whimsical as her namesake!
You'd never guess she wasn't born at Dalahast, her personality sparkles like she's a native silly Dala girl. She's been here since she was here for training and socializing at about 8 weeks old. We had also socialized her mother Maple and father Pirate, when they were little. Olive was a tiny little speck of cuteness and since she fit in so good (and Moqui the ACD basically adopted her) she had to stay for good. Her show career will begin in 2008.

Zahra in fall 2007

ZAHRA (Dalahast Xocoatl Brio y Caldo)
Her call name is an idyllic, romantic jungle beach resort on the Mayan Riviera that I hope to visit one day with Steve. Zahra was born to Zuni in March 2006 with her brother Zappa/Zeppelin (Dalahast Cruising for Burgers, a Frank Zappa song).
She is the deep soul sister of her mom Zuni! Her sense of humor and desire to watch and learn impress me more every day.
I enjoy walking down our 2 acre long driveway with her at my side and running all the way back to the house with her. She started leash training and clicker training at about 6 weeks old for basic obedience and a few fun tricks, too, like 'roll over.' She is sweet natured, obnoxious (in a good way!) and intelligent. I feel like she is an old soul. She has a fantastic, outgoing personality, nice conformation and the classic otter head that I love.
